Blogging just got fun

When I write a post, I then spend just as much time editing it in frustration to make it look sort of presentable.

I downloaded Office 365 to get Word 2016 so I can write my book. This program is absolutely amazing!

I stumbled across a new document template which allows you to post directly to a blog!

I was seriously considering learning HTML to add some sort of presentability to my blog. Now there is no need 🙂

Yes, the functionality is massively reduced, but compared to the WordPress editor it is 1 million times better.

Everybody else’s blog already looks quite swish so there are obviously ways to do things but I haven’t found them.

While I’m here, let me just share a concept I’ve been mulling over:

  7. Play nice my friend. My teachers from way back in the mists of time used to tell me, (especially in the emerging computer age of then), and I truly believe it to be true to this day, the best way to learn about anything is to simply play with it, (😈😇).

Wishing you and yours a Very Merry Christmas and wonderful New Year. 🌲🙃

  11. I really need to explore Word more. I’ve been using it for years, and have never used half the features! I type directly into WordPress because of all the formatting nightmares, but one of these days I’ll find an easier route! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 😀

    • So far I haven’t found a way to not have to use the WordPress editor to tweak what you done. It’s just the fact that there are so many more possibilities with fonts, sizes, and all types of lovely editing tools that just aren’t available in the WordPress editor. Merry Christmas to you too 🙂

  15. Merry Christmas, Nick. I don’t have Windows so can not take advantage of the great software you have found. Now I’m on the hunt for the Apple version.

Wishing you a happy and peaceful Christmas. Seasons greeting.

  19. Looking good Nick! Ok, so I have Office 365 pre-installed on my new Surface Pro. I don’t know it the same as my old one Word 2007 where I prefer to write my books in. Maybe you’ve enlightened me. I may try making a post in there, long before I’ll attempt to write my book in there, lol. So let me ask, if you do all your tweaks in Word, do all your fancy graphics show on your WordPress after moving it?
Oh, and Happy Christmas and wishing you a grand year of success! 🙂

    • Hello! You can do so much in the new Word if you just know how. I however don’t! You can get it to upload fancy graphics quite easily but they are not always where you left them. It still requires some tweaking in the WordPress editor and the main appeal is being able to change fonts and font sizing. Merry Christmas 🙂

  21. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Nick. Sending you well wishes for 2016 and Beyond..

And yes WP editor is some what limited..

I often post from Windows Live Writer you get more fonts and can do things with photo’s too.. You can connect it to your blog address and either publish direct or publish it to your drafts on Word Press to edit more in there if you wish to..

Well done with the graphics and a Very Happy New Year to you Nick..
